privacy policy

the short version
noni does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Every conversation happens entirely on your iPhone, and nothing you type ever leaves your device.
on-device processing
noni runs small open-weight language models locally, using your iPhone's own processor. Your messages, the AI's replies, conversation titles, and all settings are processed and stored only on your device. There is no noni server: no account, no sign-in, no sync, and no cloud inference of any kind.
what noni does not do
- no analytics or telemetry of any kind
- no advertising and no ad identifiers
- no tracking across apps or websites
- no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
- no reading of your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or any other personal information
model downloads
The only time noni uses the network is when you choose to download a model. Model files are fetched over HTTPS directly from Hugging Face (huggingface.co), the public repository that hosts them. These downloads are anonymous — noni sends no account information or identifiers. As with any internet download, Hugging Face's servers can see your IP address while serving the files; their privacy policy is available at huggingface.co/privacy. After a model is downloaded, that model works fully offline.
your data and how to delete it
Conversations exist only in noni's local storage on your iPhone. You can delete any conversation with a swipe, erase everything with "clear all chats" in settings, or remove all app data by deleting the app. Downloaded models can be removed on the models tab. Because we hold no copy of anything, there is nothing for us to delete on a server.
ai-generated content
Replies are generated on your device by open-weight language models. Like all language models, they can produce inaccurate or unexpected output. Generated content is not reviewed by anyone and never leaves your phone. If a reply is harmful or inappropriate, you can report it from the message's long-press menu — the report opens as an email in your own mail app for you to review and send; noni itself still transmits nothing.
children
noni is not directed at children and is rated for adult users (18+) because AI-generated text can be unpredictable.
changes to this policy
If noni's privacy practices ever change, this policy will be updated in the app and at noni.farm/privacy before the change takes effect.
